I can't begin to tell you how I have fallen head over heels in love with Budapest! This is an amazing city and I'll have a ton of photos to show you later.............meanwhile, I had to share these taken early this Saturday morning from the Pest side looking toward Buda. I opened the drapes in the hotel room and here is what I saw. The River Danube was like a millpond - no boat traffic, no wind, and brilliant sunshine helped reflect the wonderful buildings. The promise of another perfect day. We had a great one and tomorrow will be heading to Vienna.
I don't want to leave here!
Gorgeous..........thank you. How fortunate you are to be traveling to these cities!

Only now catching up with what everyone has been up to whilst I've been away and find you're off travelling again. Quelle surprise! Fabulous images of Budapest (it's on the Bucket list), know you'll love Vienna too.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a marvellous birthday, dear friend, looking forward to hearing all about it soon.
What a scene! No wonder you've fallen in love with it!
ReplyDeleteThe colour of the Danube and the sky are exquisite Mary!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit Budapest too but I'm keenly anticipating your photos and stories from Vienna!
Much love
Shane
Lovely - October days can be especially lovely with a magical light - have you spotted the Hattats wandering around anywhere?
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely, Budapest is the only one of the three countries you're visiting that I haven't been to yet. It certainly lokks as though that's something I ought to put right soon:) I'm sure you'll love Vienna and Prague as well. though.
