Buda morning..............

I can't begin to tell you how I have fallen head over heels in love with Budapest! This is an amazing city and I'll have a ton of photos to show you later.............meanwhile, I had to share these taken early this Saturday morning from the Pest side looking toward Buda. I opened the drapes in the hotel room and here is what I saw. The River Danube was like a millpond - no boat traffic, no wind, and brilliant sunshine helped reflect the wonderful buildings. The promise of another perfect day. We had a great one and tomorrow will be heading to Vienna.
I don't want to leave here!

  1. Gorgeous..........thank you. How fortunate you are to be traveling to these cities!

  2. I am so happy that you and Bob are having a wonderful time! I keep thinking that every day for you on this trip is like opening on more beautifully decorated birthday present!

  3. Stunning photos - it is great to be able to see new places, even if I can't travel there. Enjoy your trips.

  4. Magnificent city scenes! Keep having fun!

  5. Mary, how absolutely gorgeous!! I don't blame you for not wanting to leave. Vienna is gorgeous though!!

  6. I was telling Alan about your trip tonight over dinner and I know he is going to enjoy these pictures. Your words express how excited you are!!

  7. Only now catching up with what everyone has been up to whilst I've been away and find you're off travelling again. Quelle surprise! Fabulous images of Budapest (it's on the Bucket list), know you'll love Vienna too.
Hope you have a marvellous birthday, dear friend, looking forward to hearing all about it soon.

  8. What a scene! No wonder you've fallen in love with it!

  9. The colour of the Danube and the sky are exquisite Mary!
I would love to visit Budapest too but I'm keenly anticipating your photos and stories from Vienna!
    Much love

  10. Lovely - October days can be especially lovely with a magical light - have you spotted the Hattats wandering around anywhere?

  11. Looks lovely, Budapest is the only one of the three countries you're visiting that I haven't been to yet. It certainly lokks as though that's something I ought to put right soon:) I'm sure you'll love Vienna and Prague as well. though.

I would enjoy reading your comment - thanks so much for stopping by.
